The Regional Enterprise Competitiveness and Access to Markets programme (RECAMP) is about boosting participation of the private sector in regional and global value chains. The programme does this through the improvement of the investment and business climate and enhanced competitiveness in the COMESA region.
The COMFWB Zimbabwe Chapter held its RECAMP training workshop with an attendance of 25 women entrepreneurs. The participants were women entrepreneurs form the agricultural trading, agro processing, horticulture and leather products participating in informal trading sectors. The meeting was officially opened by the COMFWB Zimbabwe Chairperson and the CEO of COMFWB Secretariat.
Training & Impact
The participants were women entrepreneurs form the various parts of the country who are interested to grow their business for export trade. Two Trainers delivered adult-centered training in Financial Literacy, Access to Finance and Internationalization of Women led SMEs.
After the training, 80% of the participants became aware of internationalization and learned strategies to improve their industries for trade. 60% of the participants learned new knowledge about how they can access finance to grow their business.
